RE: veritas 8 alarm battery change
Good on you for changing the battery, we have to remind people constantly of the importance of doing this.

Ensure that the cabinet is closed correctly. Listen for a feint click as the cover is replaced, indicating that the tamper switch inside the control panel has closed.

You may have blown a battery fuse on board the printed circuit board inside the control panel.

Check that the mains supply is getting to the control panel.

Dependant on who installed the system, they may have programmed the panel not to set if the front cover is removed, and in this case you would need the engineer code (not the user code).

The panel could have defaulted back to it's preset factory settings so you may need to use the factory code to reset the panel..

There are a few other things to check, so keep an eye on your post, An engineer will be along to give you more detail regarding this panel and what steps to take.

If you can change a battery, you can service your own alarm system so why not sign up to the site, there are several advantages in doing so, and it costs you nothing.

Best Wishes,

Engels.

Sometimes a please and thank you goes a long way.

I refuse to help people who bark out there problems and expect solutions. Its just plain rude no matter where you come from.
